Part of our department mission is to provide our students with great performance experiences each year. We perform many events in our theater at Maloney High School and throughout Meriden and we also take our shows on the road. While our district funds the majority of our events, we have a few major events each year that require student fundraising. These are our major trips that involve overnight stays, air travel and more.

For 2020, the department will be focused on three major events:

1. March 2020 Trip to Walt Disney World to perform in the parks. The marching band will perform a parade and our chorus and orchestra will perform concert events in the Disney area. This is a three night flight trip and will cost $1350 per student

2. The Jazz Ensemble and Allegrettos will be traveling to New York City to see a legendary jazz musician and experience some of the best arts in the city! We will be traveling by bus and will stay for one night. This trip will cost $275 per student

3. The Orchestra will travel to New York City to see the New York Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel in January. This will be a day trip by bus and the cost is TBA.

How can you help?

We do fundraisers, but many of you have said over the years that you would rather just support a student and not by something through a fundraiser. We've developed our own donation platform so you can support your student no matter where you live, without the need to purchase anything. If you want to support these trips, please use the link below. Just indicate the amount you want to donate and make sure you list who the donation is for. We will make sure the amount is credited to their trip account!
