Select Choral Ensembles

Allegrettos

Allegrettos is the premier SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass), audition-based choral ensemble at Maloney High School. Comprised of 20-30 voices, this group performs actively throughout the state and beyond and frequently invited to perform at events and competitions. Students in all grades are welcome to audition for this group each spring for the coming school year. This group rehearses during the school day for the duration of the school year for course credit. 

Cantabiles

Cantabiles is our SSA (Soprano, Soprano, Alto) group at Maloney High School. This group performs actively throughout the city and state and is an audition-based group of 15-25 voices. Students in all grades are encouraged to audition. This group rehearses during the school day for the duration of the school year for course credit. 

Bel Cantos

Bel Cantos is our introductory, audition-based SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) group. As a group of 15-25 voices, this ensemble performs at concert events, but focuses most on technical development and vocal pedagogy in the classroom setting. This group rehearses during the school day for the duration of the school year for course credit. 

Chamber Singers

Chamber Singers is our large SATB ensemble and is comprised of Allegrettos, Cantabiles and select Bel Cantos. This groups rehearses at various times throughout the year as events are added to the schedule. Whenever our select ensembles come together with common literature, they are known as the Maloney Chamber Singers.
